- Emphasis: Side Laterals performed on this machine isolate stress primarily on the medial heads of the deltoids. Minor secondary stress is on the anterior deltoid heads and trapezius.
- Starting Position: Adjust the seat so you can have a full range of motion while doing the exercise. Place your arms against the pads and grasp the handles.
- Movement Performance: Using only deltoid strength, raise your elbows upward in a semi-circular arc to as high a position possible. Return to the starting position and repeat the exercise.
- When you perform these four tasks, you will feel a very powerful contraction in your front abdominal wall. Hold this contraction for a brief moment, return to the starting position and repeat the exercise.
- Tip: The object of this exercise is to see how high you can raise your elbows in the movement, rather than how high you can move your hands. It is essential that you keep your elbows above the level of your hand throughout the movement.

- Yukon Fitness Equipment warrants its products against defects in materials and workmanship outlined herein. Welded structure, pulleys, and bushings are guaranteed for the life of the registered owner and where noted NOT including light commercial and/or aerobic equipment which carry only limited warranties. After receiving a "return authorization number", the customer is responsible for shipping the defective equipment to "specified" via prepaid freight for replacement or repair. Upholstery, grips, and cables are also warranted for life. This warranty covers only failures due to defects in materials and workmanship that occur during normal use. It does not cover damage that occurs in shipment or failures due to misuse, abuse, neglect, misapplication, alteration or improper assembly of the product. This warranty does not cover the use or failure of equipment in commercial or institutional applications.
- Replacement or repair as provided for under this warranty is the sole remedy of the user and customer shall be responsible for paying freight charges. Yukon shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages or for breach of any express or implied warranty on this product. At its sole discretion, Yukon International reserves the right to use or provide reconditioned parts and/or to request a return and repair existing defective or broken parts.
