An Upper Body Ergometer (UBE) engages virtually every muscle in the upper body, in a similar fashion to an exercise bike for the lower body. As a cardiovascular apparatus, it offers similar benefits to a cycle. As a warm-up for resistance training, it provides better activation of the upper torso than the traditional alternatives.
When used in the standing position, the UBE engages all core muscles of the mid section. It is also widely used as an aid to the rehabilitation of many injuries and as a general exercise apparatus for those in wheelchairs.
The engineers were asked to create a UBE that would allow for seated and standing use, while providing full wheelchaird access. With our rotating crank arm and removable seat, the UBE offers the greatest variation of application.

- Any component on First Degree Fitness machines that should fail due to defects in materials or workmanship within 2 years of the purchase date will be replaced. This includes Bungee recoil cord and pulley, hand grips, foot straps, polyester rowing belt, seat, seat rollers, bearings, all rubber components, computer and speed sensors (excluding replaceable batteries), and all drive belts. It excludes damage due to the following: neglect, abuse, incorrect use of the machine, and transport of any kind. It also excludes damage to the finish of any part of the machine, and any labor costs associated with the warranty claim.
